Larry Yates

My History

I was raised in Cecil County, Maryland, by hardworking, humble parents with high moral and ethical standards and a built-in desire to help others. This has been ingrained and instilled in me my entire life.

I am proud of my lifelong career in law enforcement beginning in 1968 with the Maryland State Police and Rockville City Police in Rockville, Maryland. I worked hard and rose through the ranks, rising to and retiring as Captain/Deputy Chief of Police, Rockville, Maryland.

After retiring, I held the position of Manager of Homeland Security post-911 with the American Trucking Associations in Alexandria, Virginia.

It brings me pleasure that, from starting as part-time Ocean City, Maryland, residents in 2001 to becoming full-time residents in 2016, my wife, Becky, and I have learned about the community's interests, town government operations and the work performed by our dedicated professional staff and employees to make Ocean City, Maryland...

SOMEWHERE TO SMILE ABOUT!
